Sivers Semiconductors receives Chinese 5G order from Siemens Healthineers

KISTA, SWEDEN, November 3, 2020 - Sivers Semiconductors AB (Nasdaq First North Growth Market: SIVE) today announced that it has received its first evaluation kit order from Siemens Healthineers for use of Sivers Semiconductors’ 60 GHz technology in a medical application requiring high data rates on the Chinese market.

This order includes evaluation kits and radio modules to be used in medical applications requiring multi gigabit data rates and was received via Sivers Semiconductors’ Chinese reseller, Matrix Electronics. Sivers will deliver the order before the end of 2020 and work closely with Siemens Healthineers and Matrix Electronics during 2021 to secure a successful product launch. The order is the first step in Siemens Healthineers’ ambition to use unlicensed 5G technology more widely.
