Sivers Semiconductors AB today announced that its subsidiary, Sivers Photonics, has received a £324,800 (SEK3.6m) government grant from Innovate UK. The grant is for its part in the SPIDAR project to develop quantum-based, LiDAR systems for driver assisted and autonomous vehicle applications.
“The SPIDAR project brings together high-profile, commercial partners such as Toshiba, Network Rail and Thales UK. We are thrilled to be involved in this project which pushes the self-driving vehicle application market forward.”, said Anders Storm, CEO of Sivers Semiconductors.
