Sivers IMA, Blu Wireless Technology and Integrated Device Technology IDT will join forces at the Broadband World Forum at Messe Berlin on October 24-26, to demonstrate Gigabit speeds fixed wireless access suitable for demanding infrastructure applications where link budgets and flexibility are key for successful implementation.

The Broadband World Forum is the world’s largest event dedicated to the global fixed network community and this year the main theme is “The Future of Network Connectivity Is Here”. This is a huge, global event with more than 1,500 companies present, which represent the complete fixed broadband eco system.

“Being able to demonstrate our robust Gigabit speeds, fixed wireless solution at an event like this together with our partners Blu Wireless Technology and IDT is a unique opportunity. We will be demonstrating world class performance and robustness, that will show the market that our joint solution is market leading”, says Anders Storm, CEO at Sivers IMA.

This event is the first official event where the seamless operation between the RapidWave™ dual modem from IDT, based on HYDRA technology licensed from Blu Wireless Technology and the 60 GHz beamsteering RFIC, the TRX BF01, from Sivers IMA will be demonstrated live.

“We are eager to attend this event as it marks an important milestone in the growing partnership between our three companies”, says Henry Nurser, CEO at Blu Wireless Technology and continues: “This demonstration is the result of the open collaboration and integration work performed by our three engineering teams and we are excited to be able to showcase these market disrupting, joint capabilities to the world”.

Sean Fan, senior vice president and general manager of IDT’s Computing and Communications Group, explains: “The RWM6050 modem delivers key advantages for telecom infrastructure applications as the dual modem architecture simplifies network planning and deployment of small cells, mesh networks and other emerging services.  The integrated MAC and PHY provide a well-defined API that delivers a rich set of attributes and functionality configurable within the modem. In addition, the system-level mixed-signal integration improves overall cost- and power-efficiency. Together with the wide frequency capability (57-71 GHz), the high output power and the support for 64QAM modulation of the TRX BF01, IDT, Blu Wireless and Sivers IMA jointly provide a unique value proposition.”

The live demonstration will be shown in stand A118 and it will be possible to meet all three companies for joint or individual meetings during October 24-26.
