KISTA, Sweden – February 13, 2020 – Sivers IMA Holding AB (Nasdaq First North Growth Market: SIVE) today announced it has signed an agreement with Cambium Networks (NASDAQ: CMBM), a leading global provider of wireless networking solutions, to provide 5G radio frequency chipsets for Cambium’s roll-out of 5G wireless broadband.
Following a successful design win with Cambium Networks in late 2018, Sivers IMA is pleased to announce that Cambium Networks has decided to integrate the Sivers IMA TRX BF02 chipset with its wireless network equipment, delivering multi-Gigabit speeds using the 24-29.5 GHz radio frequency band (licensed 5G).
“We chose Sivers IMA because of the high degree of integration in their 5G chipset combined with superior performance. Sivers IMA has acted as a constructive partner, been very responsive and provided excellent support throughout the design process,” said Allen Yu, Director of Product Management at Cambium Networks.
Cambium Networks is a global system supplier of wireless broadband solutions to service providers and industrial, enterprise and government network operators with approximately $250 million in annual revenues.
“We are honored that Cambium Networks has chosen Sivers IMA as global 5G chipset supplier for its wireless broadband solutions to operators and Internet service providers. This is a very important milestone for Sivers IMA as it demonstrates our ability to convert design-wins into long-term agreements with substantial customers,” said Anders Storm, CEO of Sivers IMA. “With more than ten other design-wins within 5G, we are working hard to support our customers getting their solutions to market. We are confident that we will be able to announce more agreements during this year, supporting the rollout of 5G across the world.”
The Sivers IMA TRX BF02 chipset is a highly integrated 5G radio transceiver solution including beamforming, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA) as well as up and down converters. This level of integration is unique in the market and provides a cost-effective solution for system suppliers with fewer components needed. The chipset can be used both in small cells/Access Points (APs), which are typically mounted on radio masts or lamp posts, as well as in the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) mounted on buildings, which simplifies system integration and roll-out.
Commercial deployments are expected to begin in second half of 2020. For more information about the Sivers IMA 5G chipset (TRX BF02), please visit https://www.siversima.com/product/trx-bf02/.
