RF Test Engineer

About the Role
In this hands-on role, you’ll design and automate test setups, characterize ICs and antenna arrays, and work closely with design, system, and applications teams to solve real-world challenges. Your work will directly impact next-generation wireless systems used around the globe
Responsibilities
- Perform RF testing and validation of wireless devices to ensure performance meets design specifications.
- Set up and operate RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers). Analyze test data and troubleshoot RF performance issues.
- Develop and execute automated and manual test procedures.
- Document test results and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
What We're Looking For
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with a focus on RF/microwave circuits, electromagnetics, or communication systems.
- Experience or academic background in RF/mm-wave circuits and measurement
- Hands-on skills with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and test automation 0–3 years of hands-on experience in RF testing, measurement automation, or lab characterization (academic or industry).
- Proficiency with RF instrumentation such as VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power sensors, and switch matrices.
- Familiarity with mmWave measurement challenges, including calibration, de-embedding, and probe station use.
- Knowledge of beamforming arrays, LNAs/PAs, mixers, and PLLs is a plus.
- Scripting experience in Python or MATLAB is required; experience with databases or data-management tools is a bonus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
