RFIC Design Engineer
Are you ready to become a key member of our world-class RFIC Design Team?
Sivers Semiconductors are Critical Enablers of a Greener Data Economy with Energy Efficient Wireless & Photonic Solutions. Our high-performance RF beamformer technologies and high precision lasers help our customers in key markets such as SATCOM, wireless infrastructure, AI datacenters, and Defense solve essential performance challenges while enabling a much greener footprint.
Our business unit Sivers Wireless develops millimeter wave products for satellite communications and advanced 5G systems for data and telecommunications networks. Having completed our first generations of mmWave RFICs covering frequency bands from 24 GHz to 71 GHz, we are now starting the development of our next generation products.
The opportunity
We are expanding and looking for a talented engineer to join our RFIC Design Engineering team within Sivers Wireless. If you are innovative and passionate about developing RFIC transceivers, we want to hear from you!
Your role
As part of the RFIC Design Engineering team, you will:
- Design subsystems such as LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs, LO generation, baseband filters, ADCs, DACs, or other analog blocks.
- Take your design from schematic to layout and verification, using our capable EDA tools from Cadence, Keysight, ANSYS, and Mentor Graphics.
- Work on sub-micron CMOS design and/or BiCMOS designs.
- Define and participate in bring-up and validations of our products.
- Support production test.
- Support integration of RFICs into our antenna modules.
You will work in a group of experienced RFIC Design Engineers located in Gothenburg and Kista, supported by well-equipped labs at both locations.
Required qualifications and experiences
We are seeking an innovative engineer with a strong passion for RFIC design, whether you bring relevant industry experience, academic expertise, or both.
Mandatory requirement
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and related EDA tools.
We value experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Wireless systems fundamentals, e.g., Wi‑Fi, WiGig, 3GPP.
- Architecture and design of RF transceivers.
- Subsystem design of LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs, LO generation, baseband filters, ADCs, or DACs.
- Analog design fundamentals, e.g., op-amps, LDOs, oscillators.
- Deep sub‑micron CMOS and/or BiCMOS design.
- Mixed‑signal design and verification.
- Bring‑up and validation of RFIC transceivers, including calibration methods.
- Driving chips into volume production.
- Solid understanding of CMOS processes and device physics.
- Experience with Keysight RF software (e.g., EM simulation) is considered a merit.
We offer
An exciting and challenging position where you get the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art mmWave instruments. Collaborate with skilled colleagues to develop world-class RFICs for wireless communication. We are scaling up our design and validation capabilities to meet the growing demand for our mmWave products.
