Sivers Photonics (a subsidiary of Sivers Semiconductors AB) is the world’s most advanced supplier of customised III-V compound semiconductor laser devices, which are critical to high growth optical communications, sensing and wireless markets. Our photonic laser devices are enabling next generation applications including artificial intelligence, data-centres and quantum technology.
We are a key strategic supplier to many Fortune 100 and Silicon Valley customers and collaborate with leading academic institutions and industry research centres throughout the world.
From our UK based foundry near Glasgow, Scotland, we provide end-to-end design, manufacture and qualification for early phase prototypes and high-volume production, supporting up to 100mm wafer sizes on InP, GaAs, GaSb and GaN substrates.
We currently employ 77 staff across roles in R&D, wafer fabrication and backend assembly & test, as well as in various commercial roles.
Sivers Photonics is seeking an individual who is able to develop new and improved processes for the fabrication of III-V-semiconductor wafers for InP optical components. The process development engineer will join the Process Integration team, working in strong partnership with the Device Development and Operations teams to transform device prototypes and ideas into reliable, stable and manufacturable components. You will work in collaboration with staff from a wide range of engineering backgrounds to solve challenging problems with real commercial impact.
We are seeking an individual with the ability to chain different processes together, understanding the impact of each manufacturing process in feeding forward and feeding back on the other constitutive steps of the full process flow.
The Integration Team is responsible for the development and introduction into production of new lasers, modulators, receivers, and photonic integrated circuits and are also responsible for the development and consolidation of process flows and architectures for the Sivers Photonics InP100 platform.
